  • 3 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp honey for topping (optional)
  • ¼ cup almonds, roasted and pounded
  • Slice almonds, for garnishing (optional)

Procedure:

  • In a deep bottomed pan, heat 2tbsp of ghee. Roast the oats in the pan, until the oats are a medium gold color
  • Let the roasted oats cool to room temperature
  • Pound the almonds using a mortar and pestle into a semi-fine/partially coarse powder
  • Take the de-seeded dates and grind them coarsely – to make a thick paste
  • Grind the cooled, roasted oats separately from the dates
  • Add the ground dates and the pound almonds into the ground oats
  • Add 3 tbsp of honey to this almonds-dates-oats mixture and mix them well with hand
  • Make laddoos (about 2.5 inches in diameter) out of this mixture
  • Garnish each laddoo with a sliced almond and a drizzle of honey
